The Museum of Everything

The Museum of Everything is one of Europe's most dynamic new museums. This exhibition – its fourth – sees it move away from its previous site in Primrose Hill and instead, take up residency in its most intriguing setting yet: Selfridges department store.

So what will you find? Within the dimly-lit rooms beneath the main store, there are over 200 unseen works of international art, mostly by people who suffer a variety of psychological, neurological or physical problems. The pieces are thus fascinating in their complexity, frustrating in their lack of explanation and, sometimes, despite their vibrancy, disturbing in their revelations.

This exhibition thus joins the ever-prevalent questions regarding the definition of art, highlights the roles of museums, galleries and societies, and challenges willing viewers.

And for those who fear leaving Selfridges without a yellow bag, The Shop of Everything has lots to offer including Project 6, a fashion collaboration with Clements Ribeiro and the Museum’s own label, Everything Ltd.
